Pediatric Emergency Department Technician
About The Position
Responsible for rendering technical patient care and assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Treatment rooms and the storeroom are appropriately stocked with supplies to ensure prompt patient treatment. Comprehensive Emergency Services: UVA Health’s Pediatric Emergency Department is a 12-bed, including 1 resuscitation bay, for patients newborn to 21 years old. The Peds ED sees about 50-60 patients daily. We work in collaboration with the Adult ED for trauma admits less than 16 years old. Part of the #1 Children’s Hospital in Virginia. Requirements
- Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Experience: No experience required
- Licensure/Certifications: Must be State Certified as one of the following: EMT-B EMT-C EMT-ST or EMT-P. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
