Diagnostic Psychologist - Assessment of Pediatric Neurobehavioral Disorders About FronteraCare: FronteraCare is delivering pediatric therapies to rural families in need through parent company Frontera Health, which focuses on developing a groundbreaking tech-enabled platform leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) to establish a robust video-based data model for early intervention and developmental disorders. By collaborating with parents and caregivers in rural communities, FronteraCare and Frontera Health aim to bridge the gap in access to care, improve health equity, and deliver personalized treatment plans for better outcomes. The Role: As a Diagnostic Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission of expanding access to autism services. In this role, you will conduct team-based comprehensive diagnostic assessments of children with common neurobehavioral disorders of childhood, including autism, ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, depression, and disruptive behavior disorders. You will conduct evaluations via telehealth and using our AI tool to aid in writing reports.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA accredited program in Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed psychologist in good standing in at least one of the states we operate in (New Mexico and/or Colorado), or willing to obtain licensure.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience conducting comprehensive child evaluations.
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based assessment practices for ASD and related conditions, including ADOS framework.
  • Experience and comfort with telehealth assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex diagnostic findings to families and professionals.
  • Proficiency in electronic recordkeeping systems (e.g., EHR) is a plus.
  • Commitment to cultural competency and providing services in a family-centered, collaborative manner.
  • Passion for working with children with social, emotional, and mental health challenges and their families.
  • Fluent and able to complete assessments in both Spanish and English
  • Located in: CA, CO, UT, AZ, TX, FL, GA, ID, OK, WA, OR, or NM.

  • Active member of PSYPACT (Psychologists Interjurisdictional Compact) allowing for telehealth evaluations across state lines.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
  • Administer standardized clinical assessments via telehealth.
  • Use Frontera’s report-writing technology.
  • Draft and refine clear, concise, and defensible psychological reports that outline diagnoses, recommendations for treatment, and potential eligibility for services.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Stay current on best practices in diagnostic assessment and evidence-based intervention,
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Potentially participate in outreach and educational activities related to pediatric behavioral health.
