Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, the Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Dentist is responsible for administering, maintaining, and expanding a program of primary (and, in selected cases, secondary) care and preventive dental care in a community health center setting. The Pediatric Dentist works closely with the QI Dental Coordinator, Dental Director, Dental Clinic Manager, and Dental Clinical Operations Manager to provide consistent supervisory guidance to dental staff, particularly in clinical matters. The Pediatric Dentist will provide specialized dental care to children from infancy through adolescence, including those with special needs. The ideal candidate will be skilled in routine and advanced dental procedures while fostering a welcoming, engaging environment for young patients and their families. The Pediatric Dentist will also work closely with parents to educate them on oral health and preventive care, ensuring optimal long-term dental outcomes. This role aligns with the principles of Access, Stewardship, and Quality (ASQ) to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care. The Pediatric Dentist will ensure accessible services for all patients, promote responsible resource management, and champion high-quality, evidence-based care that prioritizes patient well-being and long-term oral health.
