Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in Pennsylvania.
- Pediatric experience or a genuine passion for working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young patients and their families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification to administer local anesthesia in Pennsylvania (preferred but not required).
Responsibilities
- Perform routine dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
- Take and interpret digital X-rays as required.
- Educate children and their parents on oral hygiene practices and cavity prevention.
- Assist with dental sealant application and other preventive treatments.
- Build trusting relationships with young patients to reduce dental anxiety.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
