Requirements

Radiology certification.
CPR/BLS certification.
Proven experience working in a pediatric dental setting is preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children of all ages.
Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, high-energy attitude and a strong work ethic.
Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during a variety of restorative and preventive procedures.
Perform EFDA duties, including placing and contouring restorations, applying sealants and fluoride, and taking impressions, all under the direct supervision of the dentist.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict infection control and OSHA guidelines.
Ensure patient comfort and alleviate anxiety by effectively communicating with patients throughout the appointment.
Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques in a fun and engaging way.
Accurately record and update patient charts and medical records using our dental software.
Manage dental supply inventory and help keep the clinic running smoothly.
