Requirements

  • Radiology certification.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • Proven experience working in a pediatric dental setting is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with children of all ages.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, high-energy attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of restorative and preventive procedures.
  • Perform EFDA duties, including placing and contouring restorations, applying sealants and fluoride, and taking impressions, all under the direct supervision of the dentist.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict infection control and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ensure patient comfort and alleviate anxiety by effectively communicating with patients throughout the appointment.
  • Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques in a fun and engaging way.
  • Accurately record and update patient charts and medical records using our dental software.
  • Manage dental supply inventory and help keep the clinic running smoothly.
