Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability build rapport with patients
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers
- Ability to set priorities, administer full schedules and multi-task
- Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board
- Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board
- CPR certification if required by state Dental Board
Nice To Haves
- Some dental industry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares the examination room for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the Dentist
- Assists the Dentist during their procedure by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment
- Greets patients as they arrive
- Updates and maintains the patients dental records
- Takes and processes x-rays of patients
- Schedules patient appointments
- Takes billing and insurance details from patients
- Advises patients on recommended oral hygiene
- Assists Pediatric Dental Hygienist as needed
- Obtains consent from parents
