About The Position

The Pediatric Clinic Manager oversees the daily clinical operations within the pediatric department to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. This position provides leadership to clinical staff, supports faculty and residents, ensures compliance with institutional and regulatory standards, manages workflow efficiency, and promotes a safe, supportive environment for pediatric patients and families. The Pediatric Clinic Manager serves as the primary point of contact for operational issues, staffing needs, process improvement, and clinical coordination within the pediatric clinic.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
  • EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR a combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.
  • Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and support staff in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong decision making, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.
  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, residents, staff, patients, and families.
  • Strong organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Skill in managing workflow, patient scheduling, and clinical coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the pediatric clinic to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Monitors patient flow, chair utilization, scheduling needs, and clinic readiness.
  • Provides leadership, direction, and support to dental assistants, clinical support staff, and student workers.
  • Develops protocols and workflows to deliver care to patients contacted through community-based outreach activities.
  • Train new staff on pediatric clinical protocols, safety procedures, infection control, and role expectations.
  • Assists with inventory management, ordering supplies, and monitoring budget needs
  • Coordinates with community-based clinical sites to support referrals and transfer of HIPAA-compliant protected information.
  • Ensures all equipment, rooms, supplies, and instruments are prepared, functional, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Assists with patient communication, special needs accommodations, and urgent care situations as needed
  • Collaborates with leadership to meet departmental goals and advance long-term pediatric program development.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
