Job Summary: An unlicensed multi-skilled worker who supports patient care by performing specific nursing tasks and support functions as delegated by a licensed provider. Care provided by the PCT is supervised by a Registered Nurse. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) Program Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA, CNA, EMT) (required) Or Program One semester of an RN or LVN program (required) Or Equivalent Experience Two years in a similar role in lieu of patient care program or nursing program requirement (required) Or Equivalent Experience Current Valley Children's Pediatric Nurse Extern (required) Licenses and Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) Work Experience Minimum six (6) months Providing direct patient care (preferred) Skills and Abilities Ability to work in a team environment, ability to be delegated tasks by the RN, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner.
