HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children’s is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Congenital Heart Center. This is a unique opportunity to work with a high-performing, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to children with congenital heart disease—all in the heart of Denver, Colorado.

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and risk stratification
  • Coordinate with surgical, anesthesia, cardiology, and ICU teams
  • Educate families on procedures, expectations, and recovery
  • Ensure completion of documentation, labs, imaging, and consents
  • Provide intraoperative support and first assist during surgery as credentialed
  • Assist with positioning, sterile prep, and procedural setup
  • Communicate updates to families during surgery
  • Manage chest tubes, wounds, and lines as credentialed
  • Monitor for complications and collaborate with the surgical team
  • Support discharge planning, education, and follow-up care
  • Flexibility for rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call coverage
  • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Current licensure and certification (BLS and PALS required; ACLS preferred)
  • Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
  • Commitment to family-centered, trauma-informed care
  • experience in pediatric cardiology, CICU, and/or cardiothoracic surgery
