About The Position

Mayo Clinic Children’s is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist to join our practice in Rochester, Minnesota. The Pediatric Cardiologist would join the Division of Pediatric Cardiology within the Department of Pediatrics. The role would include responsibilities for inpatient and outpatient general pediatric cardiology care and inpatient and outpatient echocardiography (including fetal echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography). The candidate would participate in the general pediatric cardiology hospital service call pool. The successful candidate will also be responsible for direct supervision and teaching of pediatric cardiology fellows and pediatric residents. The pediatric cardiology team at Mayo Clinic has established a robust and very successful outreach practice, which is split amongst members of our division. The successful candidate would be asked to participate in the outreach practice (either in person or via telehealth) along with their colleagues. There are many opportunities to be involved in other areas of specialty care, and we are happy to explore these with any potential candidate and match their interests. Division of Pediatric Cardiology Parents seeking the best treatment for their children with congenital and acquired heart diseases have turned to Mayo Clinic Pediatric Cardiology for more than 60 years. Each year, Mayo Clinic doctors evaluate and treat thousands of children and teenagers with heart problems and concerns. The Mayo Clinic Center for Congenital Heart Disease is comprised of 17 pediatric cardiologists, 7 adult congenital cardiologists, and 2 congenital cardiac surgeons devoted to the care of patients with heart disease from fetus to adult. Pediatric cardiologists often have joint appointments with their respective adult cardiology division, to help facilitate care of teenagers and young adults, and thus have access to novel and innovative technologies in use in adults.
