About The Position

Join a newly developed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) providing highly specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac conditions. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN required within 24 months of hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
  • BLS within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • PALS within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • CCRN certification
  • Experience in pediatric cardiac ICU or post-operative cardiac care
  • Children’s hospital experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in a CICU setting
  • Manage patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac surgery needs
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, family-centered care plans
  • Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and developmentally appropriate environment
  • Educate patients and families throughout the care continuum
  • Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development
  • Document patient care and clinical outcomes accurately
