Join a newly developed Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) providing highly specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac conditions. Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN required within 24 months of hire)
Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
BLS within 30 days of hire
ACLS within 6 months of hire
PALS within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

CCRN certification
Experience in pediatric cardiac ICU or post-operative cardiac care
Children’s hospital experience

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in a CICU setting
Manage patients with congenital heart disease and post-operative cardiac surgery needs
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, family-centered care plans
Monitor patient condition, recognize changes, and respond to emergencies
Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and developmentally appropriate environment
Educate patients and families throughout the care continuum
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development
Document patient care and clinical outcomes accurately
