About The Position

The Audiologist assesses, identifies and manages disorders of the auditory system in neonates, infants, toddlers, schools-age children, adolescents, and adults to age 21. Methods of assessment include pediatric behavioral audiometric techniques, tympanometry, otoacoustic emissions, brainstem auditory evoked response testing, and central auditory processing testing. When a patient is identified with hearing impairment, the audiologist assists in recommending an amplification system, shares pertinent information with the child and family, referring physicians, and educational specialists, and provides follow-up services when indicated.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Audiology
• Experience in Pediatric Audiology
• BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify auditory disorders in patients from neonates to age 21.
• Utilize pediatric behavioral audiometric techniques for assessment.
• Conduct tympanometry and otoacoustic emissions testing.
• Perform brainstem auditory evoked response testing and central auditory processing testing.
• Recommend amplification systems for patients with hearing impairment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding hearing health.
• Provide follow-up services as needed.
