Nemours Children's Health is seeking an experienced Pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse for our Newark, Delaware office!
At Nemours Children's Health, we see patients for primary care medical needs like well-child checkups, sick-child care and immunizations. Operating hours for this role are Tues, Wed and Thurs 11:00A to 8:00P and Alternate Saturdays 8:00am to 6pm and Monday or Friday 11:00am to 8:00pm.

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware
Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, a 220-bed facility located in Wilmington, serves as a Level IV NICU and the only Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in the state. For more than 80 years, its world-renowned care, education and research capabilities have healed hundreds of thousands of children and provided training for thousands of pediatric specialists across the U.S.

In 2023–24, U.S. News & World Report ranked the hospital in five pediatric specialties: cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery and orthopedics.

Requirements

• Three years of related clinical experience required
• Active Delaware (or compact state) Registered Nurse Licensure required
• Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure
• Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), Federal DEA registration with Delaware Address
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations
• Formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients
• Communicating with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition
• Educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care
• Triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families
• Accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record
• The NP must be able to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary team.
