Requirements

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience working with children.
• Strong communications skills both written and oral.
• Ability to work with children from Pre-Kindergarten through Middle School.
• Proficiency with computer network systems and software programs.
• Ability to use technology to enhance student learning.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Undergoing a FDLE Level 2 background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in implementing curriculum.
• Provide assistance as directed for classroom/gym in accordance with lesson plans.
• Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher.
• Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom/gym.
• Assist students in social skills development.
• Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher.
• Assist in maintaining classroom/gym management plan.
• Prepare and distribute work/activities as directed by the lead teacher.
• Provide guidance and redirection as needed.
