About The Position

The PDM Technician is responsible for the coordinating, planning, and scheduling of all predictive maintenance and condition monitoring activities for the site. They will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of all assets within the mill through the application of predictive and condition monitoring technologies to identify potential failures before they occur, thus minimizing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and optimizing asset performance. They will provide expertise in equipment setup, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and various predictive and condition monitoring technologies, and RCM methodologies. The PDM Technician will play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives and in supporting the execution of equipment upgrades, installations, and other capital investments. They will coordinate with associated Maintenance Coordinators, Maintenance Planners, Engineering, external vendors and contractors, and Production Personnel to ensure that required tasks are completed within a specified time frame, in a safe, reliable, cost-effective manner, and in alignment with established work management processes.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience as qualified craft personnel in a heavy industrial environment, preferably in steel, metal, or manufacturing industries.
  • Excellent technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Ability to operate independently, to multi-task, and to prioritize quickly.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • May be exposed to hot, cold, and dusty environments.
  • Applicants must meet the ANSI fall protection requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Successful candidate must be supportive of Manufacturing Maintenance goals.
  • SAP experience preferred.
