About The Position

The PDI Manager Position manages, writes, and tracks PDI and inventory recalls. The PDI Manager is responsible for supervision, training and work allocation of a team of PDI technicians and porters to ensure an efficient and compliant reconditioning and pre-delivery process. You will oversee the final quality checks, detailing, and preparation of vehicles or products before customer handover, ensuring compliance with safety and brand standards.

Requirements

  • Prior detail or service advisor experience
  • DMS knowledge; CDK/ADP preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening
  • Authorization to work in the USA

Responsibilities

  • Manages the new and used vehicle inspection, cleaning and detailing as well as overall make-ready preparation for customer delivery.
  • Responsible for pre-delivery and make-ready services for all new and used vehicle sales.
  • Responsible for subordinate productivity, scheduling, quality measures, cost control and turn time standards.
  • Participate in service and sales team meetings to provide updates on prior day performance.
  • Upon the direction of the Service Director/Manager, maintain appropriate staffing levels and track departmental absences.
  • Interact with other departments for recall completions, parts, non-brand products.
  • Perform inspections of PDI and make-ready work ensuring quality control in vehicle cleaning and detailing.
  • Create accurate estimates based on inspection and technician findings including specific work required, total cost and timing prior to work being performed.
  • Communicate and get approval for additional work when needed with all approved cost additions timely entered into CDK.
  • Maintain a daily log of repair orders and current status.
  • Insure correct labor, parts pricing and certified pre-owned tire credit processing.
  • Manage pre-delivery and make-ready vendor relationships, to improve quality, cycle time and invoicing.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
  • Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
