About The Position

Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and take pride in quality work? Hunter Auto Group is looking for a PDI Accessory Technician to support our Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo dealerships by preparing new and used vehicles for delivery. This role focuses on performing manufacturer-specific pre-delivery inspections and installing OEM-approved accessories. Automotive experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude! As our PDI Accessory Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo vehicles meet manufacturer standards and exceed customer expectations before delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous automotive, mechanical, or accessory installation experience (OEM dealership experience is a plus)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort working with modern vehicle technology
  • Ability to read and follow Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo service procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a drive to succeed

Nice To Haves

  • Previous automotive, mechanical, or accessory installation experience (OEM dealership experience is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used Subaru, Hyundai, and Volvo vehicles in accordance with OEM and dealership guidelines
  • Inspect vehicle systems, fluids, tires, lights, safety features, and driver-assist technologies to ensure proper operation
  • Verify vehicle software updates, warning indicators, and onboard systems as required by manufacturer standards
  • Identify, document, and report any issues requiring repair or correction
  • Install OEM and dealership-approved accessories
  • Follow manufacturer installation procedures and torque specifications to ensure warranty compliance
  • Test installed accessories for proper fitment and functionality
  • Complete all inspection checklists and documentation accurately and timely
  • Work closely with the service, parts, and sales teams to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
