  • Functions as lead to other Admit Workers, assisting with workflow and resolution of complex or unusual issues.
  • Registers patients and verifies insurance and/or third-party coverage.
  • Schedules, confirms, and cancels patient appointments.
  • Performs general clerical and reception duties.
  • Trains new staff and monitors progress for Radiology front desk duties and call center scheduling.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working in a call center setting plus 12 months experience working in a healthcare setting or 12 months experience working in a call center in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programs.
  • Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
  • Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a patient registration software system.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese.
