The PD Physician Assistant position at Jersey City Medical Center involves working within the Surgical APP's department. The role is hourly and requires evening shifts. The position entails performing history and physical examinations in preparation for surgical procedures, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests, and assisting with inpatient daily rounds. The Physician Assistant will also be responsible for communicating complicated surgical emergencies and preparing for surgery, as well as discharging patients in collaboration with the attending physician.
