About The Position

The EMT Educator at RWJBarnabas Health is responsible for coordinating and conducting Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) education classes, including initial, renewal, and continuing education, in compliance with New Jersey guidelines. This role involves oversight of program content and instructional quality, ensuring adherence to established standards. The educator will engage with students and staff professionally while supporting the daily operations of the Training Center.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• NJ EMT Instructor Certification
• AHA BLS Provider Certification
• CPR Instructor Certification
• 1 year of EMT experience

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
• More than 1 year of active NJ EMT instructor experience

Responsibilities

• Support, coordinate, and conduct EMT education classes that meet N.J.A.C. 8:40A guidelines.
• Provide oversight to ensure program content complies with curriculum standards.
• Arrive on time for scheduled classes and prepare training equipment and classroom.
• Maintain a positive presence while conducting educational programs.
• Complete course paperwork and submit rosters electronically after classes.
• Teach and monitor new and renewing instructors if designated as Training Center Faculty Member.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and instructors.
• Assist in various programs and community events related to EMT training.
