About The Position

Join a 46-bed Cardiac PCU/Stepdown (3rd floor) where 100% of patients are on telemetry . Typical cases: Afib, RVR, pre/post-cath , and cardiac comorbidities. Standard ratios 4–5:1 (may flex to 5–6) . Night shift nurses here own rapid rhythm recognition, tight handoffs, and smooth throughput for a high-growth hospital.

Requirements

• Active Florida RN (or compact; obtain active FL within 60 days if compact).
• 1+ year RN experience ( acute care required ).
• AHA BLS at start.
• ASN/ADN or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).

Nice To Haves

• LTACH, Home Health, or Rehab backgrounds with solid acute-care readiness.

Responsibilities

• Perform focused cardiac assessments and continuous telemetry /rhythm interpretation; escalate promptly.
• Manage meds and non-titrating drips ; document responses and adverse events accurately.
• Coordinate diagnostics/consults; partner on throughput, discharge readiness, and readmission reduction .
• Educate patients/families on HF zones, anticoagulation safety, post-cath expectations, and follow-up.
• Uphold core measures and safety bundles (falls, infection prevention) and deliver clean, concise handoffs.
