About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float RN for a 14-week night shift contract assignment in Fort Myers, FL.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• ED experience not required (no ED floating)
• Experience with adult and geriatric populations
• EMR: Epic
• Must be flexible and willing to float as required
• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
• Recent Nursys verification required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Degree accreditation must be included in profile or candidate must have 5+ years of experience

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Perform detailed patient assessments and continuous monitoring of cardiac and hemodynamic status
• Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to clinical changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and titratable drips per physician orders
• Implement and manage care plans for patients with complex medical conditions
• Recognize and respond rapidly to patient deterioration or emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, case management, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document all patient care accurately and timely in Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
• Float to other PCU units and sister campuses as required
• Function as a core team member, supporting unit workflow and maintaining high standards of patient care
