About The Position

We're looking for a PCT/Medical Scribe to join our Valley Ortho team! This is a Part time, remote position working 10 hours per week. Eligible for Employee Referral Bonuses…refer a friend and earn $$$ GENERAL OBJECTIVES: Medical Documentation & Clinical Assistance: Provides real-time medical documentation for physicians by observing and documenting patient encounters directly into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) during consultations. Assists licensed health care providers and nursing staff with general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, and maintaining medical records. Operation of EMR & Patient Care Tasks: Manages the EMR system, focusing on the improvement of patient care efficiency related to documentation. Performs patient care tasks according to clinic standards and under the delegation of a registered nurse or licensed health care provider. Clinical Duties: Performs all clinical duties per licensed health care provider or delegation of a registered nurse, designated specifically by the clinic. Provides assistance to licensed health care providers and nursing staff for general patient assessments, rooming patients, procedures, treatments, filing/retrieving medical records, and general office clerical duties. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Required to successfully completion of Assessment-Based Recognition (ABR) program in order entry for electronic health records (EHR's), within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have been employed for two of the last three years in a health care facility under the supervision of a licensed health care provider

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Laboratory and/or X-ray experience preferred.
