About The Position

The Patient Care Technician - Float Pool at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA is a full-time role focused on providing essential nursing care and clerical support under the supervision of registered nurses. This position involves working 12-hour night shifts and requires the technician to assist in patient care for both in-patients and out-patients, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with the nursing staff.

Requirements

• Completion of a CNA program, or first semester nursing program, or EMT program completion.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience with basic data entry.

Nice To Haves

• Satisfactory completion of a medical terminology course or knowledge of medical terminology.
• 1 year of acute patient care experience, or 6 months experience in a direct patient care environment providing clerical or patient support.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed.
• Assist nursing staff with clerical support to facilitate patient care.
• Collect and report information to the supervising RN.
• Complete all patient care related documentation accurately.
