The qualified applicant will perform selected quality control testing activities, dependent upon assigned area, including the following: Responsible for conducting in process and finished product testing according to standard operating procedures. Completes appropriate documentation supporting testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, and inventory forms. Enters data evaluated for compliance to specifications and reports abnormalities. Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules. Maintains supply levels to support performance of assigned duties. Reads, understands, and follows SOP's and complies with cGMP's. Applies critical thought to solving problems. Performs laboratory testing as assigned and per schedule. Leadership responsibilities will include: Lead a team of scientists in a regulated facility. Coordinate, support, and monitor performance of team through quality metrics while ensuring client deadlines are met. Coordinate with client contacts to communicate status of deliverables, determine priorities, and set timelines. Set individual and team goals to develop the scope of work and responsibilities of the team. Manage time off and payroll entries of the team. May participate in new hire interviews. Supports the on-boarding process of new employees. Participates in training of other employees. Ensure compliance with SOPs.

  • BS/MS in biological or chemical science (chemistry, or biochemistry, etc.) with at least 2 years of experience in laboratory industry environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to plan and carry out laboratory operations efficiently and effectively, maintaining accurate records of all experiments and data.
  • Experience in a leadership role.
  • Quality Control experience
  • GMP experience
  • Hands on experience with PCR and/or capillary electrophoresis desired.
