Together, let's redefine what is possible in orbit and beyond! Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced PCBA Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the PCBA Technician will install and rework SMT and T/H components. Weekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with PCBA assembly in a high-mix mid-volume environment (8+ years preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience operating SMT equipment
  • Familiarity with 6S housekeeping practices
  • Current IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications
  • Capable of using ohmmeter and other test equipment to verify product integrity.
  • Ability to perform inspection of the PCBA per IPC-A-610
  • Performing rework and repair of the complex PCBA's per IPC-7711/21
  • Experience with engineering documents (drawings and BOMs)
  • Capable of interacting with PC-based operating systems (Microsoft Suite, MES, ERP, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Willing to work in a cross-functional capacity and be trained to perform all manufacturing-related processes.
  • Energy and passion for inventing and creating new solutions, challenging the status quo, and driving positive change
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BGA replacement
  • Experience with SMT Assembly Process
  • Experience with x-ray inspection systems

Responsibilities

  • Hand Soldering SMT and T/H components using both a soldering iron and a hot air soldering
  • Prepping Components
  • Loading and Operating SMT and T/H equipment
  • Perform rework on SMT and T/H components
  • Capable of PCBA rework
  • Some experience in selective soldering machine and willing to learn
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks and following all procedures and processes to Terran Orbital standards
