About The Position

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced PCBA Technician to join their team, focusing on the installation and rework of SMT and T/H components. This full-time position operates on the 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, and the technician will be responsible for ensuring high-quality assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with PCBA assembly in a high-mix mid-volume environment (8+ years preferred).
  • Experience operating SMT assembly equipment.
  • Familiarity with 6S housekeeping practices.
  • Current IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certifications.
  • Experience with engineering documents (drawings and BOMs).
  • Proficient in PC-based operating systems (Microsoft Suite, MES, ERP, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional capacity and be trained in all manufacturing-related processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with BGA replacement.
  • Experience with SMT Assembly Process.

Responsibilities

  • Install and rework SMT and T/H components using soldering techniques.
  • Prep components for assembly.
  • Load and operate SMT and T/H equipment.
  • Perform rework on SMT and T/H components as needed.
  • Maintain general housekeeping and adhere to Terran Orbital standards.
