About The Position

Directs and prioritizes the activities of the PCBA Design function. Oversee the preparation of new or modified designs based upon sketches and specifications supplied by engineering.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead others across multiple time zones (Domestic and International).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated flexible and aggressive intellect with superb conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Can multi-task effectively.
  • Extended knowledge of PCB Fabrication, PCB Assembly processes, procedures including DFX (Design for Manufacturability and Test) and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of IPC standards as related to PCB and PCBA’s.
  • Work experience in an Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing environment dealing with Electronic Components, Electrical Assemblies, is essential.
  • Altium / EPDM software experience desired (or equivalent).
  • Experienced in PCB design practices for high voltage, high current, RF and Analog/Digital designs.
  • 6 -10 years Design Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the project management and technical skills of direct reports.
  • Monitors accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of required documentation for electrical and mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, and parts.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Other duties as assigned.
