What You will Do: PCB CAD Library Manager - 5Years Experience Shape the Foundation of Every Great PCB Design In electronics, great designs start with great libraries — and we're looking for someone who can build and protect that foundation. As our PCB design engineer , you'll lead the creation, governance, and optimization of the component libraries that drive our products from concept to manufacturing Why This Role Matters Your work will directly influence our design efficiency, product quality, and time-to-market. You won't just maintain libraries — you'll set the standards, automate the processes, and guide the engineering team toward PCB design excellence.

Requirements

  • 7 years in PCB library management or PCB design in Altium and Cadence software.
  • Strong background in electronics, component data management, and attention to detail, often supported by an associate's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

  • This role is considered an on-site position located in Irving, TX
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.

Nice To Haves

  • High-speed, RF, or industry-specific PCB design knowledge in Altium and Cadence Integration experience with supplier data platforms (Octopart, SiliconExpert).

Responsibilities

  • Create, Maintain & Manage electronic component library databases used in printed circuit board (PCB) design.
  • Prepare Schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models per IPC standards and using company Checklists.
  • Implement and enforce library processes, naming conventions, and revision controls.
  • Ensure that these libraries are accurate, up-to-date, and compatible with various design tools and manufacturing processes.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of component libraries, identifying and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
  • Ability to execute on schedules for Part creation request for Electronics Library.
  • Resolve library issues as they arise.
  • Experience with designing Complex IC packages like BGA, CSP, WLCSP, etc.
  • Administer CAD libraries and integrate them with PLM/PDM systems.
  • Good understanding of DFA, DFM, and DFT practices.
  • Closely work with Schematic and PCB designers.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical drawings.
  • Mentor designers and ensure consistent use of libraries across the company.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, industry standards and regulations (IPC, RoHS, JEDEC, REACH, UL).
  • Knowledge of various soldering processes - e.g. Wave Soldering, SMT Reflow soldering, etc.
  • Experience in IEEE standards for schematic symbol creation, PCB Library Creation as per IPC SM-7351B [3-Tier CAD library system].
  • Work closely with design, procurement, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with DFA, DFM, and DFT practices.
