About The Position

Position Summary A Personal Care Attendant provides direct, hands-on support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. The PCA helps maintain the client’s safety, comfort, dignity, and overall well-being while promoting independence to the highest extent possible.

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes.

Nice To Haves

Previous caregiving experience or formal training (preferred but not always required).

Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene.
Support with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper techniques or equipment.
Assist with continence care, incontinence products, and bathroom reminders.
Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care (e.g., laundry, changing linens, tidying living areas).
Prepare or assist with simple meals following dietary guidelines or preferences.
Maintain a clean and safe environment.
Provide social engagement, conversation, and emotional support.
Supervise for safety and provide redirection when needed.
Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, or errands (if applicable).
Observe and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to supervisors.
Document care notes accurately and promptly in accordance with company policy.
Follow the care plan and all agency policies and procedures.
