About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients, particularly those recovering from hospital stays and those with memory challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in various settings, including in-home, hospitals, and health rehab centers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role is preferred.
• Knowledge of care practices in various care settings including care homes, CNA positions, and memory care centers is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules.
• Certification in CPR or First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of application.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during their recovery process.
• Monitor and document clients' health status, reporting any changes to Care Coordinators.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with Care Teams on all necessary client progress or setbacks.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance caregiving skills and customer relations management.
