About The Position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing essential personal care services to adults with developmental disabilities or elderly individuals in their homes. The position requires a compassionate and reliable individual who can assist with daily living activities, promote independent living skills, and ensure a supportive environment for clients. The PCA will work flexible hours based on family needs, primarily Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• BLS Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Driver's License
• Experience working directly with adults with developmental disabilities or elderly individuals
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to follow service plans and instructions
• Dependable and trustworthy with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services in the home of clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Support medication management and accompany clients to doctor appointments or errands.
• Engage clients in community activities to promote inclusion.
• Prepare light meals and perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Teach and promote independent living skills, coping skills, and anger management.
