About The Position
Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking an experienced caregiver to provide care in Decatur, Georgia on weekends from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This is a part-time, hourly position in the healthcare/medical industry. The caregiver will provide compassionate, safe, and high-quality care to seniors, helping them with daily activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience, preferably with seniors
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Clear TB test or chest X-ray
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to seniors, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Administer medications and monitor medical conditions as instructed
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and physical stimulation
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment, including light housekeeping
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans and document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner
