About The Position

Link Solutions is seeking a PC Systems Specialist to join our Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA team. Must be a US Citizen Non-remote (relocation incentive available) The PC Systems Specialist will support the US Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6 at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The Specialist will provide various computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the seamless operation of our government IT systems. Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR five (5+) years in a desktop support role with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Experience with SharePoint-related site administration, optimization, and development.
  • Have and maintain a CE certificate in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop

Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, relocate, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC and server hardware and software.
  • Install and configure software upgrades; tune operating systems to enhance performance.
  • Install and configure network interfaces and internet connections; diagnose network cable and configuration issues.
  • Provide help desk support by identifying problems, determining root causes, and offering temporary solutions when issues cannot be resolved immediately.
  • Respond to user inquiries, providing technical assistance for PCs, hardware, software, and standard applications.
  • Install and maintain specialized software, including setup, file structure development, report formats, input forms, file security, database population, and procedure documentation.
  • Coordinate technical support activities with the local Network Enterprise Center.
  • Provide on‑call support outside core hours for unscheduled events or scheduled service interruptions.
  • Manage and oversee support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users.
  • Lead multiple projects, including planning, design, organization, and implementation.
  • Develop and implement organization‑wide standards for current and future information systems.
  • Report directly to Senior Leadership on ongoing projects and tasks.
