MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a PC Systems Specialist, your work at GDIT will empower Army Intelligence’s most critical missions. You will be responsible for the lifecycle of personal computer systems, supporting classified environments where reliability and security are paramount. Your technical expertise will directly contribute to advancing enterprise IT operations. Lead/Manage/Support: Assist in the analysis, implementation, and management of personal computer systems to include the planning, installation, and troubleshooting of systems and hardware. Deliver impactful solutions that meet mission requirements. Collaborate: Partner with fellow systems administrators, network engineers, and end-users to ensure effective operations, seamless troubleshooting, and successful resolutions to IT challenges. Drive: Champion the maintenance, security, and upgrades for PC devices while contributing to workplace optimization for our customers' missions. Utilize: Leverage your technical expertise to execute hardware maintenance, software deployment, and compliance standards to improve efficiency and responsiveness. Perform analytical, technical, and administrative tasks related to planning, implementing, and supporting new and existing personal computer systems. Install and maintain hardware components such as computers, printers, digital senders, scanners, and more. Troubleshoot and provide resolution support for PC-related technical issues, analyzing root causes and implementing proactive mitigation strategies. Execute STIGs and IAVA patches to ensure system compliance with DoD security standards and guidelines. Perform imaging of systems and provide system replacement through CERP processes as needed. Assist users in resolving account-related issues, including managing Active Directory functions such as account creation, unlocking accounts, resetting passwords, and directory updates. Load software, reboot systems, and execute minor system maintenance tasks to maintain reliability. Provide training and documentation to end-users to ensure proper utilization of systems and adherence to policies. Assist in technical recommendations for spares or bench stock to support system readiness.
