About The Position

Proliance Surgeons is seeking a PC Help Desk/Field Technician to provide IT support across various locations in the Puget Sound area. This role involves investigating and resolving technical issues both on-site and remotely, ensuring excellent customer service and effective communication with employees at all levels. The technician will support a user base of approximately 2000 medical industry employees, maintaining hardware and software systems, and collaborating with other technicians and vendors.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a helpdesk environment or 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft client and server operating systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledgeable with LAN/WAN/WLAN technologies.
  • Valid WA driver's license and must have own car.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • CompTIA, Microsoft, and ITIL certifications preferred.
  • Dialpad phone solution and Citrix experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software to all Proliance locations.
  • Provide end user desktop and networking support via phone, email, and in person.
  • Deploy and maintain desktops, laptops, PDAs, printers, peripherals, and software at approximately 85 office locations.
  • Respond to calls and email requests for technical, desktop, and server support by working on trouble tickets.
  • Setup and maintain printer queues for each site and evaluate the overall printing process.
  • Maintain inventory control of PC/printer/hardware stock and update the database accordingly.
  • Proactively identify, research, and apply solutions to a variety of technical issues.
  • Work with 3rd Party vendors and internal customers to accomplish requested technical tasks.
  • Troubleshoot problems with server hardware as needed.
  • Maintain the health of desktop/laptop devices at care centers, including driver updates.
  • Proficiently manage Active Directory tasks such as building new hires, terminations, and creation of security groups.
