About The Position

Medical City Denton is seeking a PBX Operator PRN to join their team. This role is crucial for routing calls into and out of the facility while providing excellent customer service to all callers. The PBX Operator will also respond to emergencies and codes by following proper protocols and notifying the appropriate parties. The position requires a commitment to creating positive patient interactions and caring for the well-being of others.

Requirements

  • Previous PBX and/or hospital experience helpful, but not required.
  • Clear English diction for overhead paging and communication of emergency situations.
  • Clerical skills, such as typing and telephone skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, staff, public, and administration.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organization.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Decision-making skills in accordance with hospital/department policy and procedures.
  • Ability to work under heavy demands and a stressful environment with frequent interruptions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
