About The Position

Long-term care (LTC) facilities must electronically submit to CMS (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services) through the PBJ (Payroll Based Journal) system complete and accurate direct care staffing information, including information for agency and contract staff, based on payroll and other data in a uniform format, according to specifications established by CMS. The primary purpose of this position is to provide accurate analytical insights and guidance for SNF facilities and Operators to help them achieve their desired star rating.

Requirements

• 2-3 years office work experience.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Suite programs (Outlook, Teams, Word)
• Excel skills - proficiency in Pivot Tables, basic formula knowledge (i.e. VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, including excellent problem-solving ability.
• Open to learning new skills.

Nice To Haves

• Basic SQL knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand SNF time clock data and how it affects CMS PBJ requirements.
• Present analytical findings to clients for them to make better staffing decisions.
• Responsible to complete monthly analytical PBJ reviews in a timely fashion with assigned facilities.
• Providing regular Operator updates and communication.
• Respond to questions related to PBJ submission process.
• Assist with ensuring all data and input sheets submitted by facilities are processed accurately and timely.
• Running reports periodically to ensure all data and input have been accurately captured.
• Monthly and quarterly confirmations from both facilities and Operators.
• Due to nature of PBJ submission process and reporting deadlines, occasional evening and weekend availability may be required.
