The PB Coding Manager plays a crucial role in this mission by ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant coding and charge capture for a designated group of specialties. This position is integral to the coding team, overseeing the assignment of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for services rendered by physicians and allied health professionals across inpatient, outpatient, and office-based services. The Coding Manager is responsible for daily monitoring and adjustment of workflows to ensure that services are captured and billed within the established charge lag set forth by the Physician Group. In addition to managing coding accuracy, the PB Coding Manager is tasked with monitoring the quality of services coded by their team. This involves collaboration with the Second Level Review (SLR) Team to conduct regular quality reviews and provide necessary education or training to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and payer coding guidelines. The Coding Manager will also assist the coding team with complex surgical cases and provide timely feedback to both the team and physicians, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and high standards of care. This position requires a strong commitment to quality, collaboration, and problem-solving, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The PB Coding Manager will be expected to lead a diverse team, demonstrating effective supervisory and organizational skills while managing multiple priorities effectively.
