Prepares financial reports, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Reviews and reconciles financial statements and transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Analyzes financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement. Supports accounting staff in various tasks, such as month-end closing, audit preparation and financial planning. Assists with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. Requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. KEY RESPONSIBILITY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Oversees daily team operations by assigning, prioritizing, and reviewing work to ensure accuracy, timely progress, and optimal use of resources. Promotes operational efficiency and accountability through clear direction and continuous oversight. - Drives team development and performance by setting clear goals, providing coaching and mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture through continuous feedback and personalized growth plans. - Drives and communicates the department's strategic vision across partners, customers, and technology teams by translating high-level strategy into actionable programs and measurable milestones. Leads organizational change and delivers customer-centric solutions that effectively balance materiality, urgency, delivery speed, and risk. - Collaborates with auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with financial methodologies and regulatory standards. Maintains accurate records of all transactions and discloses areas of risk. - Provides expert support by understanding accounting specialists' responsibilities to troubleshoot issues, resolve customer and process errors, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives across Plant and Store operations. - Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of business principles and relevant regulations (i.e., GAAP, Sales Tax, Payroll) and applicable regulatory standards to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Provides regulatory guidance within the scope of financial supervision, ensuring alignment with internal controls, audit readiness, and evolving industry requirements. - Demonstrates effective leadership and team coordination skills. Ability to coach and develop others. - Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding data flow across systems. - Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail to ensure daily operations run smoothly and team performance meets quality standards. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate with team members, peers, and leadership to support daily operations. QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS Directly supervises and advises hourly Partners setting day-to-day objectives, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, pursuing effective processes, and maintaining schedules. Directs team to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Work assignments are predetermined, limited in scope, follow established practices and procedures, and are subject to a moderate level of control and review. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the team/department. Erroneous decisions or failures to achieve goals may impact on team/department deadlines, resources, and/or results. May recommend improvements and manage costs. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. Assists with managerial decisions and activities including hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Technical, vocational, or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of education and/or relevant work experience. Completion of H-E-B leadership programs where applicable.
