The Payroll Technician will be responsible for managing payroll processes and travel and expense reporting within a service delivery environment. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems and tools, as well as compliance with state and federal payroll laws. The ideal candidate will have experience in the healthcare industry and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Payroll Technician will also be expected to meet performance metrics and targets as part of their responsibilities.

  • Experience in Payroll and Travel and Expense as typically acquired in 2 years, preferably in a service delivery environment
  • Experience in shared services/internal service delivery role
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience working with Payroll Time and Attendance and/or Travel and Expense tools (e.g. Lawson, Kronos)
  • Knowledge of computerized payroll processing, State and Federal payroll related laws, and Wage and Hour laws
  • Knowledge of finance, accounts payable, and/or accounting
  • Familiarity with performance metrics and ability to meet identified targets
  • General understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and shared services enabling technologies (e.g. contact center technologies)
  • Knowledge of Human Resources benefits and compensation processes
  • Knowledge of Client Finance policies, practices and procedures
