Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Verifies, audits, edits, and initiates processing of assigned District payroll processes.
  • Identifies and resolves payroll discrepancies; ensures accurate timekeeping data entry.
  • Enters, updates, corrects, and adjusts payroll data as required.
  • Establishes and maintains payroll records and files.
  • Updates and tracks changes related to federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Enters employee salaries, deductions, and tax information in the payroll system.
  • Performs specialized, technical, and lead functions in payroll data management.
  • Assists in the revision and implementation of payroll management systems.
  • Coordinates and leads payroll record classification and verification.
  • Prepares payroll and fiscally related record analyses.
  • Participates in internal and external audit processes.
  • Operates personal computer and software for payroll activities.
  • Generates and prepares fiscal data and payroll reports.
  • Interprets payroll policies and provides assistance to management and employees.
  • Prepares required state and federal reports.
  • Performs clerical and administrative responsibilities in support of the department.
