About The Position

This Payroll Team Lead position is an exciting opportunity for candidate with a growth mind-set who thrives in a fast-paced, Global organization. The scope of this role includes end-to-end Payroll processes working with our Payroll Processing Team. This area consists of loading EIB's, processing on-demands, answering HR tasks, processing payroll U.S. and Canada, running audit reports, running settlement, providing excellent customer services, testing for upgrades or system changes, collaborating closely with supervisor and other Lead.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • Proven payroll experience with multi states.
  • FPC or CPP desirable but not required.
  • Leadership experience is desirable but not required.
  • Exceptional excel skills including Power Query.
  • Attention to detail.
  • System experience - Workday, ADP (Work Force Now).
  • Canada experience.
  • Time management and prioritization skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Workday end-to-end processing including settlement.
  • Lead for Canada payroll processing - Vendor is ADP Workforce Now.
  • Lead for U.S. payroll processing - Vendor is Workday.
  • Perform reviews of on-demands.
  • Process settlements for on-demands.
  • Run audit reports for weekly and biweekly pay groups.
  • Run settlement for weekly and biweekly pay groups.
  • Run settlement for monthly pay group.
  • Answer questions from processors on complex issues.
  • Expected to work half of the holidays (either holiday or Sunday before holiday) to ensure checks are available to employees on Friday pay dates.
  • Review Retro calculations and perform retro calculations if system does not calculate, including understanding FLSA rules.
  • Help improve processes using Power Query in excel.
  • Maintain SOP's.
  • Review Leave of absence entries.
  • Create EIB for off cycle runs.
  • Load EIB for off cycle runs.
  • Weekly approve EIB's loaded by processor.
  • Perform testing for changes and Workday upgrades.
  • Perform gross up calculations as needed.
  • Providing gross to net detail as requested by leadership.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
  • Attend meetings as assigned.
