About The Position

As Supervisor, Payroll Tax SSC, you will lead and support payroll tax and payroll production associates by providing onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management. You’ll monitor workloads, assign priorities, and recommend redistribution of responsibilities to meet operational deadlines and service levels. Your role directly impacts financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, associate trust, and risk mitigation—helping protect the company from penalties, audit findings, and reputational risk. By ensuring compliance and operational excellence, you’ll foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, supporting business continuity and scalable growth. You’ll also deliver reliable payroll tax data to leadership and business partners, improve system controls, and enhance vendor effectiveness. You demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, with an analytical and problem-solving mindset. You’re skilled at managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment and possess effective coaching and people leadership skills. Your clear, professional communication, sound judgment, risk awareness, and collaborative approach with internal and external partners make you an ideal fit for this role.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive payroll and payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment
  • 2+ supervisory or lead experience supporting payroll or payroll tax functions
  • Demonstrated experience with ADP payroll tax services
  • Proficiency with Oracle HCM or similar enterprise payroll systems
  • Experience supporting audits (SOX, internal, or external)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting payroll tax operations for organizations with 25,000+ U.S. associates
  • Working knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and filings (e.g., 940, 941, W-2/W-2c)
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM
  • Prior involvement in payroll system implementations or major upgrades
  • Experience supporting expatriate payroll or international tax coordination
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., data analysis, reconciliations, audit support)
  • Experience partnering with Compensation or Executive Payroll reporting
