About The Position

The Tax Notice Analyst I ensures the efficient and accurate resolution of payroll tax notices for our clients. This role involves researching tax agency rules, managing client tax maintenance within the BambooHR systems, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Tax Notice Analyst I will also participate in developing strategies to prevent notices and improve team performance.

  • Comfort with accounting and math problems.

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve payroll tax notices for our customer base.
  • Ensure timely and accurate identification of the root cause of notices.
  • Research reasons and responsibilities for Penalty & Interest.
  • Assist with escalated issues with agencies and clients.
  • Perform effective communication with clients and tax agencies via phone or email.
  • Provide internal support to Payroll teams.
  • Monitor the Service Cloud queues to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Ensure adherence to department and company SOPs in Slite.
  • Collaborate with team members to create efficiencies and improve processes.
  • Stay updated on tax changes and agency rules to prevent future notices.
  • Ensure process documentation is kept up to date.
