  • Oversee a small team responsible for payroll tax compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal/state/local tax agencies.
  • Lead the W2 review and W2C process.
  • Handle tax agency notices and reconcile taxes each quarter.
  • Manage the multi-state custom process including wage sourcing every payroll run and incremental tax stipend payments.
  • File monthly/quarterly tax and statistics reports as required.
  • Assist in IRS and state audits.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
  • Minimum 5 years payroll tax experience with automated systems.
  • Payroll tax background in a large employer, high volume, multi-state environment including reciprocal tax laws.
  • Solid understanding of current tax laws.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI or Alteryx a plus.
  • Proven experience managing teams and working with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with process improvements, automation, and the implementation of best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience working successfully within a sophisticated matrix structured organization.
