Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for maintaining and maximizing the effective use of the Payroll systems. This role assesses, develops, and configures the Payroll systems, and documents efficient Payroll processes ensuring greater ROI on Payroll systems. The position is hybrid; primarily remote with some occasional expectation to be onsite. The shift will be Monday through Friday, typically 0830 - 1700 Pacific Time.

  • Maintain and maximize the effective use of Payroll systems.
  • Evaluate system functionality, identify gaps, and make recommendations for enhanced solutions.
  • Produce standard and ad hoc reports and create and maintain dashboards for Payroll and the organization.
  • Train users on the use of Payroll and Timekeeping systems.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance/Accounting teams to support applications and processes related to Payroll.
  • Monitor and ensure data integrity using audit tools and alerts.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and evaluate and develop processes and internal controls for better efficiency.
  • Analyze updates with new tax laws to ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
  • Support internal audits of payroll processes and records.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience supporting payroll systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience developing and generating reports, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
  • Extensive experience in payroll system implementation on large-scale Finance/Payroll/HR projects.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of payroll processing procedures and time and attendance systems.
  • Experience supporting Workday, Kronos Dimensions, and previous experience in healthcare/hospital organizations.
  • Proficient understanding of wage and hour and multi-state tax laws.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification.
  • Workday Pro Certification and/or Kronos UKG payroll Certification.
  • Experience in UKG Kronos Dimensions and/or Workday.
