About The Position

Omni Hotels & Resorts is in search of a Payroll Supervisor at our Dallas-based shared services team with hands-on experience using Ceridian/Dayforce. This position will manage the payroll process for multiple payrolls across multiple localities in a timely manner and in accordance with State and Federal laws and Omni’s internal standards. Additional tasks include identifying inconsistencies, improvement opportunities, and quality assurance throughout the payroll process. This is a Monday through Friday, on-site position based out of the Corporate Office in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Proficiency in Ceridian/Dayforce HCM is required.
  • Hospitality payroll experience in both union and non-union environments
  • Must have prior experience in roles requiring heavy customer service, strong problem solving/analytical skills, prioritization, excellent service delivery and/or worked in a shared service environment.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail are necessary for the role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and advanced skills in Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credentials is a plus.
  • Experience with Payroll applications such as UltiPro, Oracle, or Kronos highly preferred
  • College degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Proactively communicate with hotel property Finance departments to ensure the receipt of all information required for payroll processing in a timely manner.
  • Process end-to-end payroll using Ceridian/Dayforce for [weekly/bi-weekly] pay cycles.
  • Process payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions for multiple hotel properties, including supplemental payrolls when necessary
  • Research, analyze and resolve outstanding payroll issues by collecting and analyzing information and identifying trends
  • Hold assigned properties accountable to Omni Payroll Standards & Processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and practices
  • Generate reports, review for accuracy of payroll data, and coordinate necessary corrections with responsible departments
  • Administer pay card program
  • Complete reconciliations of payroll (hours, earnings, & deductions) between time and attendance system and payroll processing system prior to and after submission
  • Provide support to the internal audit team by providing all required documentation or data regarding the payroll process, and sharing feedback for essential process improvement
  • Oversight and monitoring of W-2 processing
  • Review, analyze and monitor 7i exemptions to ensure proper use
  • Review, analyze and monitor 8027 data requirements, ensuring all data is properly collected, entered and balanced.
  • Provide support for quarterly and annual taxes, as well as meeting deadlines for federal, state, and local taxes
  • Generate standard and custom reports from Dayforce as needed.
