The Payroll Supervisor will provide hands-on guidance and leadership to the Central Payroll team to process full-cycle payroll for company employees and retirees. The incumbent will work in compliance with internal policies as well as Federal and State laws and regulations. This position reports to the Payroll & Time Systems Manager.

  • Maintain working knowledge of full cycle payroll process for U.S. employees and retirees.
  • Support and train payroll processors and assist with processing, as needed.
  • Validate and submit periodic payroll tax reporting for employees and retirees.
  • Manage and generate quarterly tax filing for U.S. business units.
  • Participate in testing and completing payroll system updates.
  • Lead testing for system updates related to state and federal tax updates.
  • Provide support to corporate and site level business units, including HR, Benefits, Finance, Operations, etc.
  • Handle payroll customer service calls.
  • Prepare reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including tax payments and benefit plan disbursements.
  • Process and distribute year end reporting including employee W-2’s and 1099R’s.
  • Assist in the development, testing, and training of UKG Workforce Dimensions updates and enhancements.
  • Provide user support and training for all new and existing UKG Workforce Dimensions modules.
  • Perform other activities as needed or as directed.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 7+ years of related work experience or training.
  • Proven leadership skills that promote a positive work environment and forward-thinking payroll department.
  • Expert knowledge of FLSA, DOL and other federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Advanced training and customer support skills.
  • Previous successful experience balancing and processing payroll.
  • Payroll tax regulation and administration advanced knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office, especially MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written to employees at all levels.
  • Maturity and discretion in handling highly confidential information.
  • Willingness to work on a team and demonstrate sound interpersonal skills.
