About The Position

The Payroll Specialist at LG Chem America, Inc. is responsible for managing the payroll process for a population of over 500 employees across multiple states. This role involves processing semi-monthly and weekly payroll, ensuring accurate employee records in ADP, and handling various payroll-related tasks including tax records, PTO accruals, and payroll reconciliations. The position requires a strong accounting or finance background and experience with ADP Payroll systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred or 5-years of accounting and finance experience.
  • 5+ years processing full cycle payroll in a corporate environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in general accounting or finance.
  • Multi-state payroll experience for Exempt, Non-Exempt, and Salaried Non-Exempt required.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Funding required.
  • Experience with Post payroll funding process including upload of Salary vouchers into an ERP is required.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and tax reporting regulations.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Experience with SAP ERP or other large systems preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills, particularly in Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SuccessFactors strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with systems and ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the processing of semi-monthly salaried and weekly hourly full-cycle payroll.
  • Ensure employee personal information is correctly recorded in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Manage federal, state, and local tax records for payroll.
  • Accurately record the accrual of PTO and Vacation plans, holiday payment, shift differentials, bonuses, and other financial items.
  • Assist with payroll account reconciliations with the general ledger.
  • Prepare various payroll reports for leadership as needed.
  • Manage integrations into new ADP platforms.
  • Handle the expatriate payroll process once per month.
  • Process New Hire and Termination transactions.
  • Process Benefit Enrollment updates.
  • Assist the Compliance team in reconciling tax accounts and preparing annual W-2's.
  • Prepare payroll funding process to accounting through ERP process.
